The American Red Cross Bay Area chapter includes Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Solano counties and encompasses more than four million residents.
And we need your help to increase our emergency communications capabilities before the inevitable big earthquake happens. Each individual county office within the chapter is looking for donations of different items, because we each have different starting points of what communications gear we currently have.
Chapter Wishlists
- Charging cradles for our several Alexander Technologies Optimizer 2006 battery conditioners.
- A spool of 500-1000 feet of RG-8 coax for our Solano County office, to replace its worn-out antenna cabling.
- Comm Van—we are beginning restoration of our primary emergency communications van, and to get started, need a lot of miscellaneous items.
